About

The Quiet Future Diagnostic Lab

The Quiet Future Diagnostic Lab is an interactive strategy tool designed to reveal the hidden gap between what organisations intend and what they actually do — the quiet breakdown between strategy and behaviour.

Most strategies fail not because they are poorly conceived, but because the environment around people never changes. People are asked to act differently while surrounded by the same defaults, the same approval chains, the same habits, and the same unexamined assumptions about the future. The strategy speaks. The system doesn't listen.

This tool addresses exactly that. Built on the Quiet Future Method, the diagnostic evaluates six key behavioural conditions — Agency, Defaults, Friction, Capacity, Attention, and Meaning — that together determine whether strategic intent translates into real decisions and daily actions.

The lab is designed for use in leadership workshops, strategy offsites, individual reflection, and organisational diagnostics. It is equally useful for a senior leadership team aligning on a transformation agenda as it is for an individual strategist interrogating their own assumptions.

Who builds this

The Quiet Future Diagnostic Lab is created by Kristiina Paju, a Behavioural Futurist who works at the intersection of futures thinking and behavioural science. Kristiina helps organisations close the gap between strategic aspiration and lived reality — by designing environments, not just intentions.

Her work draws on decades of research in behavioural economics, futures studies, and organisational design. The Futures Journal platform is her vehicle for making this work accessible, practical, and immediately actionable for strategists and leaders everywhere.
